Available in our standard copper alloys, these caps come in RWMA sizes (4, 5, 6, 7) and can be made in two styles: male and female. Female caps fit over a male shank and are typically cheaper and easier to remove. Some believe male caps last longer and provide more consistent welds due to their more substantial structure. Since male caps fit into a female shank, their tapers are also better protected from damage. This not only prolongs the life of the shank, but also reduces the chances of leaking.
